UMB Private Wealth Management InSight Newsletter: Fall 2018 Edition

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – The Great Gatsby

As the air begins to turn colder, signaling the last months of 2018, I like to start thinking about the possibilities the coming year holds. At UMB Private Wealth Management, we take this time to evaluate plans and ensure they’re aligned with overall goals. One topic that has continued to come up over the past year is ethical investing.

Environmental, social and corporate governance investing, also known as ethical investing or ESG investing, allows for investment decisions that consider social values and ethical options. Values can center on social responsibility, green efforts, diversity or more. As you read through this issue of InSight, you will learn about the tailored solutions UMB Bank offers to clients interested in responsible investing portfolios. The UMB Private Wealth Management team is dedicated to finding a way to align your individual values with your investment strategy.

This issue also includes other valuable content addressing questions our team has been discussing with all of you. KC Mathews, UMB Bank’s executive vice president and chief investment officer, examines the forces simultaneously attempting to accelerate economic growth and signal a slowdown. We will also look at how to exit a business when it’s much more than just a business.

Please use this new season to evaluate your financial plans and talk to us about current or new goals. The UMB Private Wealth Management team is here for you each step of the way.
