Kansas City Centurions‡
The Centurions Apex Program of The Greater Kansas Chamber of Commerce is a two-year leadership program during which select participants volunteer for community service projects, gain a better understanding of Greater Kansas City monthly task forces, contribute to a standing committee and organize a task force each year. Margaret Langford, vice president, commercial relationship manager, was selected for this esteemed program as a result of the impact she has had on not only UMB Bank, but the entire Kansas City community.
Ingram’s 250‡
Ingram’s 250 showcases 250 of the most influential individuals who serve as pillars of business and drivers of change in the greater Kansas City area. For the fourth year in a row, Mariner Kemper‡, chairman, president and CEO of UMB Financial Corporation, and Jim Rine, president and CEO of UMB Bank, were bestowed with this distinction for the significant hand they both continue to have in the success and longevity of UMB.
Kansas City Business Journal: NextGen Leaders‡
The Kansas City Business Journal’s NextGen Leaders program seeks to feature emerging leaders within the business community who have the talent to make a difference. The program allows members to build their knowledge and skill set, and learn from current Kansas City leaders. Josh Heinrich‡, senior vice president, commercial team lead, was named one of the 2023 NextGen Leaders for his dedication to the Kansas City community, professional accomplishments and drive to always do better.
Kansas City Business Journal: 2023 Healthiest Employers‡
The Kansas City Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers shines a light on Kansas City-area companies and organizations that have prioritized employee well-being and mental health. UMB Bank was one of the 33 honorees showcased for its companywide dedication to supporting the health and well-being of associates. UMB makes the welfare of its associates a priority by offering paid parental leave, a variety of resources through the employee assistance program (EAP), UMB Financial Education Center, monthly EAP wellness webcasts, “UMB You Days” that promote self-care, a robust mindfulness program and other valuable benefits and programs.
Fund Intelligence Operations and Services Awards‡
For the past two decades, With Intelligence has honored the companies leading the way in product and service delivery and development with the Fund Intelligence Operations and Services Awards. For the third year in a row, UMB Fund Services received the distinction of Best Interval Fund Administrator.
Private Equity Wire U.S. Awards‡
Private Equity Wire’s U.S. awards recognize excellence among private equity fund managers and service providers throughout the U.S. UMB Fund Services received the honor of Best Fund Administrator – Mid-Market & Emerging Managers in the service provider category. This distinction showcases decades of experience in registered and alternative investment fund administration services coupled with a focus on business development.
NEWSED Community Development Corporation’s Outstanding Partner of the Year Award‡
NEWSED‡ is a non-profit organization that has served the Denver community since 1973 and remains one of the largest to focus on homeownership while promoting holistic social and economic development opportunities in the area. UMB has helped grow NEWSED’s impact and services through charitable donations and volunteer hours, and it continues to be near and dear to UMB associates’ hearts. This year, community development bankers Williams Mendoza and Gary Fuentes, along with community mortgage banker Jhovani Becerra, received the Outstanding Partner of the Year award in recognition and appreciation for their collaboration with NEWSED’s Housing Counseling programs.
