Brian Vogt has been CEO of Denver Botanic Gardens since April 2007. In that time, attendance has grown to over 1.3 million per year, programs have been launched to address access to food in urban areas, a comprehensive diversity and inclusion project has been integrated into daily activity, the Center for Global Initiatives was launched, focusing on plant research and crop genetics, and an exhibit program has curated works by legends such as Henry Moore, Dale Chihuly and Alexander Calder. He is an active participant with many civic organizations in the Denver area and speaks frequently on intentional culture, regeneration, adaptation and leadership. He holds a BA in Classical Antiquity from the University of Colorado.

Ned Smith has worked in the commercial real estate industry for more than 20 years helping clients manage and develop portfolios for various real estate projects and sectors, including retail, multifamily, office and industrial. He joined UMB Bank in In October 2017 to lead its growing Kansas City commercial real estate team with a focus on new loan production and portfolio management of CRE loans, as well as relationship management and business development.

Jennifer Boxberger is assistant vice president and senior investment product analyst in UMB’s Private Wealth Management division. In this role, she is responsible for investment manager due diligence on current and prospective investment strategies in support of UMB Private Wealth Management’s Open Architecture platform.

Brian Hutchin serves as executive vice president and director of Healthcare Services at UMB Bank.

Amy Small is executive vice president, executive director of Institutional Custody at UMB Bank. UMB has more than 70 years of custody servicing experience with domestic and global transaction processing with straight-through processing, a robust security master that can accommodate data requirements of complex holdings, integration with large accounting providers, corporate actions processing, securities lending partnerships, as well as cash management services.

Cydney Gurgens joined UMB in 2014 as senior vice president and director of commercial real estate. She is responsible for establishing the investment commercial real estate lending platform for the company, managing a team of commercial lenders and underwriters, and providing oversight for all investment commercial real estate lending activities across the bank.

Spencer Erickson is tax managing director, alternative investments at UMB Fund Services. He oversees all aspects of tax reporting for the firm’s many private fund tax clients. Spencer is a leading tax expert in the hedge fund and private equity industry. He advises fund clients on entity/fee structuring, allocation methodology, and investment/operations for tax efficiency.

Brandon is an assistant vice president and fiduciary tax manager in the Private Wealth Management division of UMB Bank, and has been with the bank for more than seven years. He holds a master’s degree in accounting from University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC) and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from UMKC.
